Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a mailing operator. This role is responsible for efficiently processing and sorting mail, ensuring that our clients' mail is accurately handled and delivered on time. It’s a fast-paced environment that requires precision and reliability. 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Operate mail processing equipment such as inserters, tabbing equipment, printers inkjets, and folders
  • Sort, process and package incoming and outgoing mail according to postal requirements
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of mail
  • Handle and track large volumes of mail with accuracy and efficiency
  • Verify job ticket specifications and postal paperwork for accuracy
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet production deadlines
  • Troubleshoot, identify and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and place orders as needed
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and confidentiality
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred
  • Familiarity with USPS regulations and guidelines
  • Proficient in using mail processing equipment and software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed during peak season
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
  • Basic computer skills
  • Positive attitude and team player mentality
  • Willingness to help in other departments as needed
