Job Description

Hey, tech maestro! Firespring is on the lookout for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead our engineering squads encompassing Front-End, Back-End, QA, and UI/UX. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Engineering, you'll be responsible for ensuring the consistent performance and reliability of our proprietary content management system, which serves thousands of clients worldwide. Your leadership will be key in maintaining and enhancing our platforms to meet the highest industry standards. 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, focusing on detailed execution and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely, high-caliber software deployments that exceed client expectations.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance team productivity, processes, and product quality.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, ensuring Firespring remains operationally efficient and effective.
  • Create a collaborative environment where engineers are empowered to solve problems with precision and grow professionally.
  • Work closely with product management, product support, client success, sales and marketing, and other departments to ensure seamless client satisfaction and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading or guiding Agile software development teams, with a knack for planning, organization, and clear communication.
  • A strong interest or experience in people management and process optimization, ensuring teams operate at peak efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple ongoing projects, ensuring they align with overarching business goals.
  • A proactive organizer with an unwavering work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Approach challenges with analytical thinking, conflict management prowess, and robust problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of web development, complemented by experience with cloud services like AWS and relational databases.
