Job Description

Hey tech trailblazer! Firespring is searching for an experienced Vice President of Engineering to lead our tech initiatives and propel us into the future. As our VP of Engineering, you’ll be at the helm of our engineering department, guiding the development and execution of groundbreaking technology solutions that drive our mission forward. Reporting directly to the Chief Client Fulfillment Officer, you'll collaborate closely with our product teams, strategists, and other departments to ensure we’re not just meeting but exceeding industry standards and client expectations.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable and robust technology solutions across all platforms.
• Drive the strategic direction of our technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs.
• Manage and prioritize multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Implement best practices for software development, including agile methodologies, to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
• Cultivate a strong technical vision and guide the team in the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
• Regularly evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback to support professional growth and development.
• Address and resolve technical challenges and project issues with a proactive and strategic approach.

Qualifications

• Proven track record (5+ years) in technology leadership roles, including experience managing software engineering teams and complex projects.
• Deep expertise in software engineering, architecture, and development across various technologies and platforms.
• Demonstrated success in driving technological innovation and aligning tech strategies with business objectives.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), including agile and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to navigate and manage project management and version control tools.
• A passion for mentorship, problem-solving, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
